Spain / La Roja @ Yankee Stadium / Bronx

Spain (La Roja) vs Ireland, Friendly game at Yankee Stadium

The energy was amazing, I was surrounded by friends, AND Spain won!

Only in NYC would I have these unique experiences.

WHAT AN AMAZING LIFE I HAVE BEEN LIVING and I am grateful for every single moment!

Flamenco

My, my teacher and fellow dancers
I have been studying Flamenco for ten months now and this past
Thursday I had my first public performance!
I absolutely was in my element, I grew up as a performer, and then transitioned into visual art, film, and now after almost 15 years I made a Performance Art come-back!

As we were waiting in lounge area, I knew there would be familiar faces in he audience-- my husband and friends-- but I also knew that there would be strange faces as well, lots of them, but it didn't phase me, I was so excited and I owned the stage, as I did the foot movements, spun my wrists, snapped by neck and swung my skirt, I felt the passion and history of Flamenco in my soul.

It was amazing.
I'm going to the TOP!

LIFE IS GOOD

This week, I went to my premiere documentary film screening at an internationally recognized venue, I went to a street fair, I rain almost 20 miles, I had a dress rehearsal for a Flamenco show I'm performing in, I had breakfast and dinners with my husband, I had cocktails with my friends, and I BOUGHT A CAR!

Its been a "gangster" week, LIFE IS GOOD! I need action and excitement to be happy, I guess I just have that type of personality, lucky for me, my life is full of it!

Pedro Almodovar and Miguel Angel Silvestre, El Duque, in NYC

Living in New York City, you have constant stimulation, so it was an extra high when yesterday, after premiering my students film at Lincoln Center, I bumped into Pedro Almodovar on his way out of the own screening right next door. I went straight up to him for a quick chit chat and picture.

After living in Spain for two years, I've always admired his work, he's a magnificent filmmaker and an international icon. I was honored, excited and humbled to have had the opportunity to meet him.

Miguel Angel Silvestre, El Duque, was there too, and he's in an amazing category as well, so handsome and talented!

I love living in New York City, theres so many amazing moments like this one.

The thoughts of a runner

I ran a four-mile race yesterday at an 8:45 pace. For a non-runner thats not too bad, but for me, I know I could do better, at least 15seconds per mile better.

I have to get my weight down and train more in the heat. It was a scorcher yesterday and I felt exhausted every step I took. Part of me was saying to myself, "Just stop, this is torture, walk a bit", and the other part of me was saying, "What are you crazy?! This is a RACE, you cant stop, you've done this a million times before, whats one more!"

Haha, I sound like a crazy lady, but I guess thats just the life and thoughts of a runner.

Next race in two weeks-- a five miler.
